Town of Signal Mountain Response to COVID-19
As of March 13, 2020
Nothing is more important to us than the health and safety of our citizens and our staff. Health experts have stressed that social separation is key to containing the COVID-19 pandemic and that activities in facilities where groups gather in close proximity in an enclosed area are more likely to lead to a transmission.
Accordingly, we are announcing the closure of some of our Town facilities:
The Town Hall Gym will be closed starting today.
The Mountain Arts Community Center and the Signal Mountain Library will be closed beginning on Monday.
All of these facilities will be closed through the end of next week.
The decision on whether to re-open for the following week will be made by the end of business on Wednesday, March 18.
We have also been informed that the Baseball and Softball leagues have made the decisions to suspend their seasons until further notice.
All other services
Our other services will continue to operate as normal for the time being as we still strive to offer the highest level of service possible to our citizens. Town Hall will be open for business, but we would like to encourage everyone to pay their water bills or any other type of Town bill by putting them in the drop box in the pull through area close to the building in the Town Hall parking lot. We will keep everyone updated on any changes or interruptions to our services.
